Halloween

Last year Brent and I went to the same Halloween party. It was a huge party at Noah's in Lindon thrown by our BYU Stake. We didn't know each other and don't remember seeing each other. But Brent does remember KaRynn's costume as the "Progressive Girl."

Brent's costume was and is over my head. :-) I think he's the guy that embezzled money from Enron or something. So it's probably good we didn't meet that night, or it might have been awkward. Plus, my costume was kind of lame. I just threw on my roommate's scrubs and called it good. :-)

THIS year, we kind of threw together our costumes at the last minute. We were assigned to run the fishing booth at the ward party, so we thought we'd make that our theme. Brent designed and made his own costume:

If you can't tell from the pictures, Brent is a hooked fish, and I am a fisherman. Although, according to Brent, the analogy really worked the other way in real life (he had to catch me).

On the actual day of Halloween, we carved pumpkins. . . at 9 o'clock at night. Since we live on the 3rd floor, we were the only ones to enjoy their brief glow, but it was still fun.

Cool pumpkin! Is it a ghost from Super Mario Brothers? That's totally what it looks like. You two are so cute! How's married life treating you?

Yep, Natalie, you got it right. And Brent and I love being married. It will be 3 months this Friday, and we're still living in newlywed bliss. :-) I hope it never ends.
